Initially picked up the XA but after poor Best Buy service I now have the X

Long story short...I got the XA for $199. Two faulty phones and just absolute awful customer service later, Best Buy management gave me the X model for $199. Here's the irony. Although subtle, there is a size and shape difference between the XA and X. I'm super happy about the deal of the century on my X, but appeal wise, I like the XA feel and make way better upon looks. Performance wise the X is of course better. The XA on paper is cm's smaller but barely. However it's is noticeable by feel and to the eye as well. Anyone know why they made a change to the X vs the XA in regards to size and looks?  To me, the XA was a much more conducive one hander compared to the X but again while noticeably different, on paper it's so minor one would think you'd never even know. Plus the XA basically has no side bezels where the X does. This makes ZERO sense.

@Kashton

The reason of the side bezles is the fingerprint scanner, you can compare the phones with GSMarena

So to make it short, I was able to just keep both of these models bc the deal I received, I ended up with a total of $400 overall for both models which is less than what the X costs by itself. I like the XA better as its smaller and has no bezels on either side. It's not much difference in size on paper but in hand and real life, the XA wins as a true one hander

Just swapped back to the X and indeed it's a far superior device. Much more than I initially reported.

Enjoy your Xperia X, the XA does indeed look awesome but I see it as a budget phone.

I have now come to love the X ten times more than the XA now. The X blows the XA away and getting it at $199 is by far the best deal ive ever gotten on a high end device. I really want to try the Performance but the 650 processor is actually on par with my Moto Droid Z Force and it has a 820. I am super excited about the X and I use it 90 percent of the time over my Droid Z Force. At the moment I'm waiting on the X compact to hit the US as I plan on checking it out and probably getting one. I like smaller phones. My Z Force is 5.5 inches and it's huge. I enjoy a one hander phone. If I want a huge screen, then id rather have a tablet. Sony has it right with their sizing but for some odd reason they think their product is superior to the point they price beyond market value and thus economics 101 prevents Sony selling quantity and actually being recognized. They cut out over half of their potential market buyers by pricing their product 25 percent over the otners they compete with. I hope they read these forums bc they would or could be a powerhouse in the US if they would not think they are above the rest or maybe just a little bit too proud and greedy. Sony, if you read this, take a look at market valuation vs economics. Only then will you become one of the top three players.

If only the xa design had the x specs. I did the same thing. But after 2 days with xa, I went with x. I price matched Amazon for 300
