How to use my Vivaz as modem to my mac?
Dear SE,
Thanks God I have a two laptops: a winXP Acer for work and a fabolous MAcbookPro for my own.
Lastweek I was out of civilisation i.e. no wifi - only 3G connection. My Acer worked properly together my vivaz via PC Suite to connect to the internet, while I could not connect my vivaz to my Macbook the same way. It was - is very very disappointing.
Am I so stupid not find the way or is it true that there is no way to use my Vivaz as modem to my macbook?
thnx

use the Bluetooth function to connect , enable on both equipment, pair them,
On your Mac choose Set up Bluetooth Device from the Bluetooth item on the menu bar. If you do not see a Bluetooth item on the menu bar, go to
System Preferences > Bluetooth > Devices and click Set Up New Device.
The Bluetooth Setup Assistant window will open. Click Continue and select mobile phone as device type.
i suppose you know what to do on your Vivaz

how i make my MAC work on Vivaz:
after doing all the pairing and setting up the Vivaz internet setting etc, make sure the phone is paired up with MAC.
1) access the MAC MENU ( the Apple Logo on left top corner of your MAC)
2) access System Preferences
3) select Network
4) select Bluetooth
5) select Connect
ta ta, Vivaz is connected via BT

Hahooooooo!! It works!!! Thank you very very much. I use T-mobile in Hungary, so the settings were a bit tricky - not as simple as your BT seems to be but I went through finally.
Thanks once more.

Hello,
Sorry for not replying sooner - have not been in my mails for days.
I am sure that your Vivaz isn't installed properly.
I attach my settings (T-mobile)
