How do I get bigger text on the X10?

Text messages, contact details, even the calendar are displayed with a very small font on the X10. Such a waste of a beautiful large screen. Is there any way of making the default font larger?

Thanks,

Dale

I want to know too. Pray tell.

I don't think there is a default way to do this but you can change your font size in apps, for example in Handcent for SMS and K9 for email.

for me, the overall system fonts are far too small. I usually have to squirm to see things, not as young as I used to be.

Morning Darkmax, think the word you were looking for is 'squint' Winking_Face but your english is far better than my grasp of any other language so I am still in awe! (Squirm is fidget/wiggle/ move in embarassment)

Can I suggest the following app for you personally....

Sorry I am being very rude this morning, but all said with a smile on my face.

Thanks for highlighting that. You're right it should have been squint. My bad.

Oh thank you very much, Suze. However, my current bad eyesight is due to an operation I had more than 15 years ago, removing my cataracts and replacing the natural lens with artificial ones. I need to wear prescription glasses, which I lost a few years back and haven't bothered replacing! Getting the prescription is more expensive than the glasses.... LOL.

You're not rude at all. Just the polar opposite!

Greatly appreciate the caring concern. This is something few web-surfers share these days. Thank you very much. You made my day (night)!

Phew! Glad you are still speaking to me and not mortally offended. I know all about your eye problem... runs in my family so perhaps I have this to look forward to also. Plus I can't see a darn thing without my specs on... lord knows how big the font would have to be for me or indeed how close to my nose I would have to hold the phone, if I didn't wear them.

hmm... try about 2 inches from your face. That usually does the trick for me.

However, having said that, there is a new lens out there. It contracts better with the eye muscle, and should get mostly rid of this problem of the old lens.

I'm contemplating if I should get it re-done.
