frustrated!! lost everything

HI,

I have just updated my phone to the latest software RB26 something, and I lost everything!! every single software I had installed, contacts, messages everything!!! After I tried to restore from my previous back up, I still didn't get the software but just the contacts and messages. I lost pics and music too, however when I browse my sd card folder, I can still see them but timescape and mediascape do not recognise any!! Pls help me out!

I'm an a$$..timescape and mediascape were not recognising the media because I had the X10 connected to the pc..That's sorted! but it still remains the fact that I lost everything with the update! that sucks big time!!

Can you at least get the pictures and music back through MediaGo?

Do make sure you back up as much as you can.  If you have access to the Market, I would suggest getting ther Astro File manager, with which you can also back up your applications, although you can get them back for free anyway...

As a matter of fact I had made a backup using the stock back up manager of SE, but looks like that wasn't good enough. Have to reinstall everything and most prob lost some important data as well, unless it comes back after I reinstall back the software. I will install astro file manager a.s.a.p, should have done it long time ago! My pics and music are fine.

I have never had call to use it, I'm pleased to say.  I haven't used the restore applicatiopn thing on Astro, either, but it seems like it is a useful thing to have.

I do hope that it isn't too much of a pain to get everything back to how you want it.  If nothing else, at least it is a lesson learned...
