False advertiing - Sony Xperia Z3 is NOT waterproof at all

I'm just trying to understand how you can advertise that you can take pics underwaer with the Sony Xperia Z3.  This is UNLAWFUL and false advertising!!! my phone is brandnew - and now it doesnt work anymore. I cannot use the  touchscreen and my screen is now completely black.  I had to book my phone in for repairs and while i was at the store I wasnt the only one that sent my phone in for repairs with the same issue!!!

Really confused and disgusted!!!  I just hope that my phone gets replaced and that i DONT end up having to pay for it

Yes, the claim is that the litmus paper inside the flaps has turned to Red which shows that there was a leakage , my question is the phone is waterproof then that should not happen when flaps are closed properly that says that the flaps themselves are faulty , and I am surprised to see that so many people have face the same problem and Sony as a big company does not even want to accept that there may be a little possibility of such issue ? Wow talk about monarchy . And I know my post will be modified or deletd saying against the guidelines .

Hello Hilmy! Please note that water damage is not included in the warranty. Also, the phone is not waterproof; but as you mentioned, water resistant which means it is meant for accidental and occasional splashes and not to be submerged in water. Kindly treat your Xperia phone with care. Thanks for reaching out to us!

First of all: My English might not be that good so please excuse me if I made some mistakes.

I also had/have this problem. I had a Z3 compact. I wanted to take some underwater pictures but in the end the Z3 compact wasn't waterproof. I've sent it in and I got a new one. Today I was in the bath. My phone fell into it. All ports were closed but the screen is now black. It just flickers sometimes but that's all. The touchscreen does work and everything else, too I think. But I can't use my phone without a working display

Now it works again. I put it on a towel and this on the heater. After like an hour it works again.
