deleting a homescreen?

I downloaded the new android 2.1 and now have 5 homescreens. At the moment, 5 is too much for me, so i was wondering how to delete one, or two? and how will i be able to add one back?

I don't think that is possible. Don't bother too much, you will get use to it. Anyway, if you do not require that many homescreen, just don't 'use' it.

Install Launcher Pro from the market and set that as default home screen, then tap menu>preferences and in the settings you

can customise it to your needs this includes the number of screens you can have anything from 1 to 7 screens

Yup. Not to frighten you off, I heard that it might be complicated to some. Anyway, install that and have a play with it.

i downloaded it. its pretty good. atm, the only thing that ive found useful is that i can delete a home screen and disabled wallpaper scrolling lol.

I'm an ADW.Launcher girl, does pretty much the same job as Launcherpro (you just couldn't get LP before on 1.6) - you get to choose your number of homescreens, no of rows/colums so more icons per page if you need it.  I am so used to it now that I would struggle going back to the SE set up.

There is a good little app called Home Switcher which lets you swap between whatever launchers you have on your phone and then set your chosen one as default and I prefer this than having to troll through the Menu and Applications etc if you want to change.
