Right now, I'm sick!
Not only is my phone messed, all my internal data is gone...I was outside with my (indoor) cat letting her have some rare outdoor feedom. The phone was on my boot. I brought her in & later went to get my daughter from her work (night).
I never knew I'd left it on the boot. Later, after we were home, tried to find it & even ringing didn't get it. We decided to trace the path of the travel to her work & got about 100 meters to find my T2 Ultra in the middle of the road & crushed (run over). The screen lights & I can access my mSD. But what I want is the internal info.
Does anyone here know how to get to that? I can't do anything using the screen because it's so smashed. I can tell it's on, but that's it.
HELP!!!
I get the little beep that the phone realizes it's being charged & I can see the backlight.
I'm on Mint, so running lsusb in terminal shows the Sony, but it doesn't show up anywhere else in my system. I've run some shell scripts but no luck. I'll try a Windows machine tomorrow.
OKay, so using a VM of Win 7, I installed the Sony Companion software. The VM/USB "sees" the D5322 (T2 Ultra) & when I tick it, the Win 7 "USB device detected" sound plays.
If I go to PC>Manage-- it's there, but only as "disk". Same for device manager. It shows as "disk", drivers loaded are the Windows, "disk.sys" & "partmgr.sys".
There's still no access. The Sony software "sees" it, yet cannot find device when I run to back-up data.
Now what? I don't have the HDMI out adapter as yet so cannot do anything onscreen.
Your computer its not detecting the phone? what if you go to computer > Xperia T2 Ultra > internal storage?
Doesn't show in "Computer"...the weird thing is that every so often, I hear the noise it makes when it gets a notification through- so it must still be alive & picking up the wifi.
Edit: it's also in device manager as "G:" under "Portable Devices" (Manufacturer- Sony, Location- on UMBus Enumerator).
what if you open the SIM card flap > press and hold the restart button for couple seconds > then once the phone its back on try again with PCC
Well Uli,
I've tried everything, including your last idea- no go.
Here's another query- same topic-ish:
I have just received my C5 (closest I could find in size for the least cost).
I had made a phone backup just before my T2 was broken. *Using the Xperia software, can I import that backup (from T2) to the C5?
Or does it require the exact Sony Xperia?
*Grasping at straws now.
