HELLO MY NAME IS ASHISH A.CHILBULE and I had purchased the Sony xperia p mobile on 7/7/2012 and after 23 days my mobile was dead it means not working and it was fully dead, so i had submitted that mobile on 31/07/2012 at Sony care center which is situated at shivajinagar pune and its named as accel care solution. so at that time my phone was in good condition but in dead condition so my phone was accepted by the care center and after two days my phone was submitted by care to higher authority which are situated at Chennai and they told me u will get a new phone after 10 to 15 days but after 15 when i was called to Sony Care Center they told me that u got replaced new mother board of that phone but yesterday they told me ur phone had a liquid damage was occur in ur phone and ur warranty is not claimed. These details they told me after 25 days on 25 aug 2012.and the service center's head Mr.Anand Shete was told me that the phone was in good condition so he submitted that phone to higher authority. so i called to head of Sony of Maharashtra region Mr.Ahish Parekh (9930036565) they told me give me one day then i will tell u but nw they also not entertain to me.the service of Sony phone is very very very poor and many people’s are frusted from the service which has given by sony.and one thing is that they had not check my phone also,they saw the red indication on the backside and told me that it is ELS problem and not cured by Sony and warranty was barred but when service center sent my mobile that time the indication was white and no liquid damage problem was there boz my phone was handled by the head of that service center Mr.Anand Shete so they told me yesterday. and now i am very much upset from Sony’s service. so please help me to solve this problem as early as possible.From last one month I didn’t contact to anyone and due to this I am going in loss in various manner boz I didn’t hve any kind of data with me..

My SONY XPERIA S started showning yellow tint at higher temperatures.And since SONY had already acknowledged the issue online,i took it to the nearest service centre( Mobile technology, 45/178t sangamitra chambers,DN nagar,Link road,andheri West,T:022 26713893) ,Ticket ID :12120101269 on 01Dec,2012
But they(Bhavana Telange) rejected the display replacement on the grounds of physical damage declaring that my warranty was void.The physical damage was basically a 1mm dent on the back side of the phone.
It's not that the display is faulty because of the dent but because of a manufacturing defect on the part of SONY mobile.I fail to understand why the two scenarios was being related when SONY has already acknowledged the issue.
Its like you are trying to avoid the replacement by popping up some vague reasons which has no relation to the defect.I feel cheated buying such a high end phone and getting such a downtrodden service for it.I feel i made a mistake by purchasing a SONY product because you are not even ready to rectify the fault you made for which i have to suffer.This is not how a company of such respected reputation bluff customers who believe a SONY product is of top notch quality,only to be find out that this is certainly not the case.
Ah! So they havent changed service center as they promised me abt 2-3 months back. i.e. they had told me that within 2 weeks they will starts "sony's" official service center instead of 3rd party service centers. Apparantely promise has not been fulfilled.
But anyway, this is same service center I had submitted my phone.
Though personally I didnt face any issue (except 1 month delay). But there was another guy who was complaining that they gave him 2nd hand replacement part.
But they accepted it and replaced it with new part.
But main point is why should they give 2nd hand part at first place?

I have just had the exact same problem as you with my xperia p and have given it to accel here in kolkata. Could you please tell me whether you got your phone back? Cos these guys here have also told me my motherboard will be changed and they have ordered the part now for which it will take 3-4 days to be delivered. and after reading your problem I AM SCARED AS SHIT!
Same Problem with me,
On 16th october 2012, I was having battery problem with my xperia mini pro. My mobile was not able to switch on. So, I visited sony ericsson authorized service center (SAP Electronics) at dadar. They took my cell for examination and for that they didn't give me any receipt as every service center of sony does same. The technician guy at service center told me that its not a battery problem and my phone is not switching on because of some other problem and I have to pay rs.1700 to resolve this problem. My phone was under warranty then also he kept telling me to pay the charges. But, as I was damn sure about the problem was because of my battery, I asked him to give me spare battery so I can show him that, my phone works well with new battery and the problems which I was facing, those were just because of battery. After some time, he gave me spare battery and after putting that battery in my cell, my phone switched on !! then he agreed on that it was because of battery.....
after that, I asked him for new battery which I was about to purchase. But, he showed me new battery which was in loose packet and he kept insisting me that its an original battery. But, then I got the idea that he is trying to fool me and selling some duplicate battery instead of original one. So, I walked out from his shop !!!
So, at same day, I went to another service center of sony which is s.B. Electronics at thane (west). I told them that, my phone is not switching on because of battery issue. Then technician told me to wait. He'LL try charging my cell. So, he took my cell for charging and didn't give me any receipt or anything else. After one and half hour he told me that its a problem of battery and keep your battery for replacement. So, I DID the same. And for that he gave me service job sheet also on which it was written that battery is kept for replacement.
As replacement was taking so much time so, I borrowed battery from my friend on 3 or 4th of november 2012 and then I realized that, my volume keys, camera flash and some keys of my qwerty keyboard are not working. As I was not having battery in my cell so it was switched off in that period. So, I decided to visit that service center again at thane. After inspection of my cell, technician told me that, the strip which is connected to camera and volume keys is broken. So, my volume keys and camera flash are not working. Might, motherboard is also damaged so, some keys of my qwerty keyboard are not working.
So, I asked him to repair it, but then he started telling me that its not damaged by at his service center so he won't repair it. If I want to get it repaired then I've to pay the charges...
for strip - around rs.850 and
for motherboard - around rs.8000-10000.
So, I called sony customer care, regarding this issue and then they told me that, service center of dadar (sap electronics) is not authorized now as they've taken its authority. So they cant help me out regarding this issue. They also told me to pay that charges which are told by their service center head.
Now, it's been around 2 months, I am totally pissed off and having few questions -
1. Why should I pay for the damages which haven't done by me ??
2. Whats my fault if they didn't give me any receipt while examining my phone ?? because these terms and conditions are not written anywhere...
3. If they didn't give me anything then how would I know work order no??
4. Why sony's junior and senior executives are asking again and again for work order no ??
5. How can sony directly say that, sap electronics is not authorized now so, they cant help me for the damages done by them ?? but, fact is, it was authorized when I visited them.
Hope, You'll reply and try to help me out as soon as possible.

read my problem guys, even I am not getting my sony ericsson live (wt19i) back from a sony service centre in noida, since 22 dec 2012.
I performed an update to newer operating software version named as ICS-4.04. Since then, I am facing problem, relating to issues given below:
I have given my mobile to the service center for the fifth time within a span of 4 months of purchase. I would here like to provide with some more info that my phone is currently in the WARRANTY period.
On 7th January, 2013, I once again went to the service center regarding the same issue but they were unable to provide any kind of solution to my problem. The Engineer named Vishnu at SS Electronics, Ameerpet X roads, Elephant House, told me that I should wait until the launch of the new operating system, and then may be, the problem I am facing would get resolved.
Regarding the same, I contacted the Sony Customer Care. I had a word with Regional Head of the Andhra Pradesh, Mr. Mohan. He told me that I need to wait till the last week of March, 2013 until they launch the NEW OPERATING SYSTEM. My concern is why I should wait for another 2 months or so. I would here like to provide with some more info that my phone is currently in the WARRANTY period. They don't tell us to deposit the money two months after the usage of the phone. I told them to please replace my software with the one that was present at the time of purchase. The service center said that it is not possible once the up-gradation is done. I went to the dealer The Mobile Store, Kukatpally. He told that he has no role to play in this now. He is just a dealer, talk to the Sony Service Center or Sony Customer Care.

The problem of half balck image from camera is common for all SONY users of latest firmware.
wait for an update.
regarding notification tone >> this is due to facebook integration. This is the main problem. its not hardware or software problem.
go to settings > apps > all > then clear cache and user data of all facebook related apps ( disable the ones you dont use ).
then restart and you will not have any recurring problem. better is to root the phone and remove all the FB apps. that is the permanent solution.
I have faced similar problem before.
best way is to check if the service centre details are mentioned on website and call customer care to verify if details are updated.
I clear the cache everytime, before & after disabling my internet connection. But, still there was no solution to the problem. Facebook integration, that is not my concern. Why the problem was not there while I was using Ginger Bread software. The phone was working marvelous at that time. I have checked with the service center 5 times & they say wait until the update is released. Why should I wait, replace my phone or degrade my phone to the original one. Its none of my concern from where do they do it. They should keep their customers happy for better sale of their products.
