HELLO MY NAME IS ASHISH A.CHILBULE and I had purchased the Sony xperia p mobile on 7/7/2012 and after 23 days my mobile was dead it means not working and it was fully dead, so i had submitted that mobile on 31/07/2012 at Sony care center which is situated at shivajinagar pune and its named as accel care solution. so at that time my phone was in good condition but in dead condition so my phone was accepted by the care center and after two days my phone was submitted by care to higher authority which are situated at Chennai and they told me u will get a new phone after 10 to 15 days but after 15 when i was called to Sony Care Center they told me that u got replaced new mother board of that phone but yesterday they told me ur phone had a liquid damage was occur in ur phone and ur warranty is not claimed. These details they told me after 25 days on 25 aug 2012.and the service center's head Mr.Anand Shete was told me that the phone was in good condition so he submitted that phone to higher authority. so i called to head of Sony of Maharashtra region Mr.Ahish Parekh (9930036565) they told me give me one day then i will tell u but nw they also not entertain to me.the service of Sony phone is very very very poor and many people’s are frusted from the service which has given by sony.and one thing is that they had not check my phone also,they saw the red indication on the backside and told me that it is ELS problem and not cured by Sony and warranty was barred but when service center sent my mobile that time the indication was white and no liquid damage problem was there boz my phone was handled by the head of that service center Mr.Anand Shete so they told me yesterday. and now i am very much upset from Sony’s service. so please help me to solve this problem as early as possible.From last one month I didn’t contact to anyone and due to this I am going in loss in various manner boz I didn’t hve any kind of data with me..
because consumer laws in India are weak. They dont favour consumers. And it takes 2-3 yrs for judgement by consumer court.
So that is why Sony Mobile (for that matter any big company) do not care when customer is suffering.
What can customer do afterall? It is very rare that consumer files a case because that person has already been harrassed by manufacturing company and does not want to go through another two year battle in court.
Thats why i bought from ebay under dealer warranty as Sony India Warranty is a SHAM. I saved around $80. \Being from imported lot phone has been working flawless. Looks like Sony dumps defective pcs in India.
That depends on how honest your dealer is.
If somethign goes wrong, he will not give you new one, but he will get it repaired. If he is not in same city, u have to send it to him. He will send it out of India, get it repaired, bring back and send it back to you. All these itself can take 2-3 weeks easily.
I also think Chennai centre is LAZYYY .
I am from delhi, my NEO V got damaged due to water, it reached chenai for motherboard and touch replacement , it has been one month, and the phone hasnt get repaired.
Only reply for delay i received is that request for issue of new motherboard has been denied !!!

we experienced this also here in our country,
one time my gf's X10 got problem. (it is doesn't open)
so we went to sony ericsson center for repair.
the repair take nearly a month before it got fixed.
when we went there again to pick up the phone(since they called us that the phone was fixed and running good)
so i checked the phone, like everything. every application. the phone was almost new. but there's another problem. a metal thing is blocking the camera (not actually blocking the lens but you can see it hanging beside the camera)
so i told the employee that i don't want to go back to sony ericsson center if it failed to work again. so i gave the phone back so they would fix it. they told us that the phone will be fixed after a week.
we are busy doing schoolwork so we went there 3 weeks after. when we got there and checked the phone. the metal thing is still there! so we had to gave it back again.
I just want a replacement for my back cover, which I could order at an online gadgets store (from another country and continent) and delivered to me for 2 days max.
and yet I sent my phone to our local sony service center , and now I have not seen my phone for a month and still counting..

this post should be renamed to include problems worldwide.
So in short SONY SUPPORT Sucks big time and they don;t even have spares inventory at service centers. What a big JOKE really. Why call it service center it's just a collection center which hardly works. Perhaps Sony's losses are responsible for this and they find no way out of this since they are releasing phones which cannot compete headon with samsung/htc etc.
My phone's charger, was having loose contact. Since it was still under warranty, I went to the service centre. I was denied warranty just becaust the PAPER TAG AT THE END OF THE CHARGER CABLE WAS HALF TORN!!!! Does anyone see any sense in that????? I gave them my bill,my phone for them to cross check the IMEI number. But the service centre guys kept on refusing to give me a replacement telling the tag is half torn!!
Finally called the customer support, who also first told me they cant give me replacement since the tag was torn. Later when I asked them where is this "warranty void if paper tag torn" condition mentioned, they couldn't say anything and authorized the service centre guy to take my charger cable and have it replaced!!!
Sony no longer has the reputation as it had before!! Going to an unauthorized guy to get the mobile serviced looks like a better option as it works out cheaper and also the guy will give some assurance that within a month if anything happens, come back. These sony service centres give only a week warranty after they replace any part.. One week!!! Thats again a laugh.
Sony is like a vampire that just wants to suck on money instead of blood!!!!!
This is known as CHEATING ARROGANTLY. Maybe not their fault as they have been instricuted to behave that way across the world.
Moral of the story:
Never buy phones of a company which has just ~2% odd market share and making loss.
Unfortunately the same situation is here in central Europe(it´s not caused only by india repair center :smileysad:), authorized service for Sony cell phones is extremely bad, they are unable to help with anything, communication with technician is impossible - there is only totally useless hotline. When is cell phone in service for 2-3 weeks and they are unable to repair it, then repair center is claiming water damage on motherboard and they are rejecting warranty for customer which is not true - I had a very bad personal experience with this problem in the past - my new phone was faulty after 1,5months of use - but only buttons on phone stop working everything else was working OK and phone was in 100% condition as new, phone was 3 weeks in warranty service and after this time they just claim water damage - there wasn´t any track of water or moisture in phone - liquid stickers was all totally white and they still are .
When I´ve got my faulty phone back from repair centre - I send this phone immediatelly for expertise - I had expert judgment on official document that cell phone is totally OK and fault WASN´T caused by customer damage and inside of phone is no water or moisture damage !!
In my phone is faulty keyboard controller integrated in processor, in repair centre they just replace the keyboard/buttons EMI filter - 25ball BGA IO but it doesn´t help, procesor can´t be replaced so they need a new mainboard - they was waiting for 3 weeks but they don´t get a new mainboard so just sent the faulty phone with replaced BGA EMI filter back with rejected warranty and fictive water damage ... I have everything at home, phone, documents but no one is really willing to solve the situation - Yes I can start lawsuit but it´s very expensive and will take min. 3-4 years !!
This wasn´t only my case, when I have this special experience with SONY quality products and service, I made a small research and I found lot of people with same experience !! WTF ?? I never heard about this experience with HTC or Samsung devices - so only SONY phones are damaged by water spontaneously ?
IT´S JUST SHAME SONY .
And this is not a "gossip" for SONY, I´ve got all my informations documented by the expert approved by our higher state authority - I was hoping that I´ve got a repair under warranty after this expertise but it was a mistake, company doesn´t care about their customers .
