cannot get phone to turn on after "update" can anyone help

after plugging my phone into my computer and following instructions for so called update from my x10 i cannot get my phone to turn back on. it simply sticks at the sony ericsson page - the instcutions did state that after you turn the phone back on that the start up would take a little while but 10 hours later is little to long me thinks.  i have tried charging it but no luck.  can anyone please assist.

Try updating it again or download SE PC Copanion and use the repair option.

hi thanks - have tried that but as the phone will not turn on i cannot get the update to preform - have also tried removing battery and putting back in, no luck - any other ideas.

You dont need the phone on to do the update. How did youy do the first update?

it will not let me do update agaiin - i cannot do anything with the phone - i did update by usb cable on laptop

Download SE PC Companion and try the repair option. The phone does not need turned on to do this.

thanks for this but unfortunately this is not working for me either = think its goosed, so much for an update improving the preformance of my phone (:smileyshocked:
