Good evening. I'm having trouble with my sony xperia z3, last night I was messing around on my quiet cell phone, suddenly it hung up, it should have a 10% battery still. I put it to charge last night and until now the phone does not want to connect, the red light of the led appears as if it were charging, but it does not turn on. Has anyone ever experienced this? Do you know how to solve it?
Hi @Santorio, I'm sorry to hear about your phone.
You may need to perform a shut down of the phone before you can start it / charge it again.
Press and hold both the ON/OFF button and the volume up button for about 10 seconds, you should now receive a couple of vibrations. Try starting the phone as normal again.
You can also use the little OFF button that is located near the SD card area on your phone.
1. Using the tip of a pen or a similar object, press and hold down the OFF button.
2. After your device emits a series of quick vibrations, release the OFF button. The device turns off automatically.
Let me know how it goes!
Good afternoon, I've tried to do this.
But when I did the procedure at no time it vibrated.
I tried several things already. The only sign of life that the device is the red led light when I turn it on the power.
Thanks for the update!
If you don't get any vibrations the phone is already turned off, or the battery is completly drained.
If the phones battery is completely drained it may take up 30 minutes before the phone reacts to charging. During this time, the screen may remain completely dark, not showing the charging icon.
For how long have you been charging the phone? If you are charging the phone using a wall socket, is there any difference if you charge it using only the USB cable and for example, charge it using a computer? Or the other way around.
If you still can't charge or power on the device after charging it for 3-4 hours I would recommend performing a software repair using Xperia Companion, this will however require that your phone is charged to at least 80%.
If you are unable to complete the software repair or if the same troubles occur after the software repair, please get in touch with your Local support team so they can assist you with having the device sent in to an authorized service centre.
Keep me posted!
