Can't connect PS3 to Xperia Z

I am having trouble connecting the two devices for Media Sharing. i have followed the instructions on http://www.ekoob.com/how-to-connect-play-media-from-sony-xperia-z-to-ps3-tv-via-dlna-12449/, but there are no devices found in Pending Devices.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

I thought this was really gonna work & I have a new phone which picks up my brother's ps3 at his but at my dad's I tried it idea maxim looked very promising. & all went to plan but 1 problem came up & it's when I change it to all network & click ok, it doesn't save it & reverts back to local network , my dad's Compaq laptop hardly ever gets used & his sky router looks ok. Please help!!

It always defaults to Local network. But more importantly, were the PS3 and Xperia listed and if so did you select Allowed to the right?

Verify that the PS3 is connected to the home network via WiFi or cable. Also make sure the Xperia is connected via WiFi.

They are both connected to WiFi over same router

I can only do it if I download a media server but still cant get movies... How do u get into network and sharing centre?

That sucks! So u cant do it via hotspot from the same Xperia?
