Camera problem

Whenever I try to turn on the camera on my x10 mini, it just shows a black screen, with the 3 icons in the corners.
I'm not able to press any of the icons, as the screen is black, and there is no response.
I obviously checked that nothing is covering up the camera lens, and there isn't, so i'm kind of lost as to what is wrong.

Help!!

have you tried repair tool in pc companion? sounds like you need to "re-program" it.

take backups first

I just tried the repair tool in pc companion, and it still doesnt work Slightly_frowning_Face

It did however, shortly after the repair, show the camera screen with a picture for just about 2 seconds before it froze, which it has never done before.
But now its back to as before

Hi,

It sounds like the drivers for the camera in the handset are not installing correctly. I would recommend running a reinstall through the handset using the Update Service application on your PC. This can be downloaded here: www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/detailed/updateservice/xperiax10mini

Once downloaded, follow the steps on screen. Let me know how you get on.

It still just shows the same screen.
I'm really lost now.

But thanks for the effort Dizzy_Face

Try going to the Service Menu to test your camera.

Home Back Back Home Back Home Home Back > Service tests > Camera.

Good luck.

Where is this service test?

In the phone or in pc companion?

It's on your phone.

On lock screen (do not unlock), follow that instruction I provided earlier .... Home (midde button) and Back (rite button).

Ok found it.
This doesnt work either though. When I enter "service menu" and select "camera", it just shows up with a black screen.
But thanks anyway

In that case, take your phone back to the nearest SE Service Centre for repair. I hope it is still under warranty.
