Camera not responding

Hi everyone, im havng a problem with the camera on my X10i, whenever i try to take a picture the phone freezes up and after about 20seconds i get the message

!Sorry, Activity camera (in application camerea) is not responding, then i get the option to force close or wait....... waiting does'nt help either.

Have you tried restarting phone? Removing battery and SD Card?

well now it just sez camera not available

And your camera is GONE!

No shock.

Have your tried re-flasing the phone from Seus or Sony trojan... sorry i mean Pc companion?

If you do decide to proceed with a software repair, make sure you remember to do backup as all data will be erased from your phone memory. Good luck.

ok, so repairing software works, camera is operable, did a few test pics, but as soon as i restore my backed up files, the problem occurs again.

So that begs the question, what did you restore that has caused the issue?  Was it just contacts / sms / bookmarks or was it applications?  I guess the proceedure should then be re-run the repair and restore just one thing at a time to see at what point it crashes.
