C902 not recognised by PC suite version 6.0

I have bought a Sony Ericsson C902 second hand and it is not detected by PC suite. When I follow the instructions on pc suite, the phone recognises that it has been plugged in to a computer, but next remains dimmed whatever I try. Please help, as I don't know what to do

Have you set the USB connection on your phone to PC/Phone mode?

Yes, every time I connect my phone to the computer the option is available on my phone. When I select it, the computer is unresponsive. I have tried reconnecting it and using different modes and different usb ports, but nothing has worked so far

In that case, with your phone switched on and connected in PC/Phone mode, re-boot your PC.Failing that, de-install and re-install PC suite from the SE website.Failing this, I would suggest you update the phone's software using the phone's update service:Settings--General--Update service--Search for update.Otherwise, perform a master reset on the phone after backing up all your data.
