I'm with a 5.0.2 D6603.
The issue I have is that the following Kernel wakelocks does not allow the phone to deep sleep.
msm_serial_hs_dma
BTLowPower
I've just performed a sw repair via pc companion, and several factory reset. I'm running the Z3 with no apps.
It happens both with an LG G Watch R (5.0.2) and a regular BT Plantronics (voice only) headset.
Using the same BT devices with a Nexus 4, Nexus 10 and an LG G2 does not have the same effect. As soon as there is no usage the phone goes to speep immediately.
If we take the second device, I do expect a Kernel wakelock while speaking or streaming music. The phone is active any way while performing this task.
What is strange is that even if there is no activity the wakelocks avoid deep sleep.
What is strange is that if I move away from the headset (and the BT icon goes the "non connected" status), the wakelocks are always there.
The effect is that my phone (both on 4.4.4 and 5.0.2) almost never ever sleeps, and sometimes get warm. It is evident that the battery life affected a lot.
If I switch BT off, everything goes back to normal.
I did a further test, in the below sequence:
- BT ON + connected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
- BT ON + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
- BT OFF + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => no wakelock + device sleep
- BT ON + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
Any solution?
Is it possible that this is an hardware problem?
This thing is driving me crazy!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I didn't know you are a user like me.
Sony support will ask to perform a factory reset. Then I'll go to a center, they'll perform a factory reset and do their basic test = all good. Here is your device after one month with the same problem (nothing against Sony, they all are the same in my experiance).
If you can think of something (given your great experience with Sony Xperias) it will be much apreciated.
Thanks again.
From what I can find it is and has been an issue with all OEM's
Agreed. As I said nothing particular to Sony. I had very bad experiences with Samsung and Asus as well.
I'm so sad that such a great phone like the Z3 has this issue that does not allow me to use any BT device.
Could you please send me your details in a PM, and I will forward this.
Make a relevant topic and include the following.
Name:
Phone nr:
E-mail:
Country:
Operator:
Product(s):
IMEI nr:
Build number:
Also please dump and upload the phone logs to a site, such as Google Drive and send me the link.
You can dump the phone logs by right clicking the systray icon for PCC and choose About.
Thanks.
Data sent via PM.
I'll perfom the dump tonight at home. Any suggestion in doing it? e.g. creating the issue just before doing the report?
Thanks for super quick feedback.
@Johan dump(s) done and link PMd.
Thanks.
Hi @Johan, just a quick note to be sure that the link I provided via PM for system dumps is working.
Thanks.

Here a self explanatory comparison in between two very simalar days. The first is with a BT device connected (just connected not streaming or talking). The second (NO BT - ....) is without. The deep sleep attitude is very different!!
Hi @Johan do you have any news?
I start getting nervous of having some BT devices (watch and headset) that I can't use because of the Z3.
I'm also planning to get rid of the Z3 and move forward. This would be very sad as the phone is otherwise fantastic and I still want to love it.
In the meantime, can I do a tests? I'm very happy to do whatever could be helpful for Sony to root cuase (and solve) the issue. The issue is very easy to reproduce. Can I produce a detailed system log? Is there any other app that I can install that can help?
Thanks.
