I'm with a 5.0.2 D6603.
The issue I have is that the following Kernel wakelocks does not allow the phone to deep sleep.
msm_serial_hs_dma
BTLowPower
I've just performed a sw repair via pc companion, and several factory reset. I'm running the Z3 with no apps.
It happens both with an LG G Watch R (5.0.2) and a regular BT Plantronics (voice only) headset.
Using the same BT devices with a Nexus 4, Nexus 10 and an LG G2 does not have the same effect. As soon as there is no usage the phone goes to speep immediately.
If we take the second device, I do expect a Kernel wakelock while speaking or streaming music. The phone is active any way while performing this task.
What is strange is that even if there is no activity the wakelocks avoid deep sleep.
What is strange is that if I move away from the headset (and the BT icon goes the "non connected" status), the wakelocks are always there.
The effect is that my phone (both on 4.4.4 and 5.0.2) almost never ever sleeps, and sometimes get warm. It is evident that the battery life affected a lot.
If I switch BT off, everything goes back to normal.
I did a further test, in the below sequence:
- BT ON + connected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
- BT ON + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
- BT OFF + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => no wakelock + device sleep
- BT ON + disconnected to a Plantronics headset => wakelock + device always on
Any solution?
Is it possible that this is an hardware problem?
This thing is driving me crazy!!!!
Thanks in advance.

Do you have Stamina mode enabled and if it is have you added an app or device to the exception list which will prevent sleep mode, try an app like Wakelock detector to see if you have an app or something else which is the cause
Hi Thommo, thanks for quick help.
I have stamina mode enabled with the following app white listed:
Gmail
Hangouts
Telegram
Touchdown
They all have nothing to do with BT. If BT is off, the phone get into deep sleep well, or at least it is not always active. Then stamina should affect mobile data only, not BT.
Better Battery Stats says that the following kernel wakelocks are keeping the phone atcive while BT is on:
msm_serial_hs_dma
BTLowPower
Thanks a lot.
Waiting for your help.
That item you listed is known to prevent sleep from back in 2012 and to fix you need to decompile and rebuild the item with amended code - However you still could have an app hence why I mentioned the app to check
Hi Thommo,
thanks a lot for your help.
It's a good progress that at least I know it is sw bug and not an hw one!
It is not clear to me what I should "decompile and rebuild the item with amended code". I'm not a Sony engenieer.
Is this known bug, something related to Sony implementation of BT radio?
I switched BT on and the wakelocks (in better battery stats) started again keeping the phone active.
In wakelock detector under kernel wakelocks I can notice that ipc000000ef_sensors.qcom has the highest number (7387 in 3h).
Then I have ipc0000008c_sensors.qcom (649 in 3h).
Can you help me please?
Where should I seek for the rouge app?
Thanks a million.

I've just noticed that in WLD under CPU WL I have UID [Type: System (Bluetooth) - bluedroid_timer] is the biggest WL.
Is this helpful? Is this related to this 2012 bug?
Thanks.
Bluedroid is new for Lollipop and has been noted by other OEM's as an issue so not a Sony specific issue so this will be upto Google to fix
and Google are aware of it as per the Google forums
Understood. Thanks.
It must be, any way, not the source of my issue as I had the same wakelocks on 4.4.4.
Going back to "good old 2012 wakelocks":

This is something you would need to contact Xperia care about as we are a user led support forum, All
I can do is use that useful engine known as Google and find out some pertinent information which is what I did - Anything above and beyond that is out of my range - http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
