black screen after dropping the phone

after my Sony M4 Aqua dropped I can no longer see anything even icons nor light just like it was turned off but it is still functioning because I can hear notification alarms etc. I already tried the power and volume up but still doesnt work. someone told me the problem was LCD is that true please help me thank you!

this might be a hardware problem, and the only solution is to have your phone checked at your local service center Local support

Hi @eymor I'm sorry to hear about what has happened to your phone.

As @nolramlb mentioned this sounds like a hardware error if it happened directly after the phone was dropped.

There is one thing that you could try before contacting your Local support so they can assist you with getting the device sent in to a authorized service centre.

I would recommend performing a software repair using Xperia Companion. This will delete all data stored on the internal storage and since you can't unlock your SIM card and/or screen lock you won't be able to create a backup, I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

If the screen still won't turn on after you have performed the software repair I'm afraid I can only advice you to contact your Local support.
