Sony service centre fooling customers- Vigneshwar Services bangalore india

HiTeam,

I gave my phone for repair after it got stuck in the sony logo (was trying to install custom ROM and things went wrong) to Vigneshwar Services Bangalore India , it is an authorised service center to sony and i hoped that they might be able to repair it.

The next day i got a call next day, saying they have to change the PCB which would be costing me 9500 bucks. i asked that how due to a software issue ,the PCB can screw up, they told it is common and you have to spend 9500 rupees to get it solved. I politely declined and said i will collect the set without the repair.

I collected the handset from the center, and gave it to my friend for R&D purpose, to see if he could repair it. My friend was able to repair the phone to its full best within 2 hours. he never ever opened up the phone too to check if the PCB was screwed or not.

I am glad that my phone is working now in perfect condition ,but sorry to see a poor state of sony service center engineers who are fooling people to make great money.

As you know, this is a user based forum, perhaps a Sony moderator could post here but it'll be hard for anyone to do so, why? well, only the service center inspected the phone, and it's pretty much impossible for anyone reading this to inspect the phone.

I had given my phone for service in vigneshwar mobiles today . I had read reviews about this service centre. Everywhere Reviewers told the same scenario. "PCB board or Motherboard have to be changed " even though its a software problem. I dont know where to give the phone for service. Suggest me a solution bro !
