app download problem

Hi. I have a xperia go and recently updated my software, using android 4.1 now.

I can't download or update any apps and don't even have the option where I can browse via wireless, without having to activate mobile data.

Please help.

You can use google play to download.What does your phone do exactly?

i do make use of play store

when i try to download, once i've clicked install button, the download status bar appears, but nothing happens. it is the same thing when i try to update my apps.

not sure if this has something to do with browser settings or not?

please, please, please help

Settings-apps-all-google play,clear data and force stop.Also,try to remove your gmail account and add it again.

I've tried this and restarted the phone, still having the same problem.

There might be some temporary problems with it,some people complained about google search and maps.
