Anti-Virus Software for X10?

Is it necessary to install anti-virus software on the X10?  if so, does Sony recommend any particular application?

Only if you feel at risk, like get emails with spam that could infect the phone.

Yes, i recomend the Anti-Virus "LookOut", cause it does 3 things, find all type of virus, does automatic backup to your online account and if you lost your phone you can always find it online.

This app have the award for the best AV for Android.

I've never found a need for one, but then again, I don't use my device to do social networking, check email or surf the web.

it is entirely up to your discretion. My advise is to put one in if you use it for any internet-based functions.

Many thanks to those who responded to my question. I don't use social networking chatroom thingys and the websites I visit are (as far as any can be ) safe and well regulated.  I delete all and any email received from other than known and trusted correspondents.

I use my PC's anti-spyware programme to scan my phone while file-sharing over Wi-Fi.
