I recieved a Sony Ericsson W100i Spiro as a Christmas present last Christmas (2010). Ever since I got the phone it was laggy, the animated wallpapaers were no better than slideshows. I could live with the laggyness, after all at least it's a phone that can send and recieve texts... until recently. Yesterday I topped up for the first time since I got the phone, and I'm on o2 simplicity so I got unlimited texts, and since I'm a teenager I text an awful lot. Around midnight last night, not long after, the phone wouldn't send texts. I'd write them out and press send, but it's just take me back to my messages folder, and not even attempt to send the message at all. The "sent" message also doesn't appear in my sent messages folder. If that wasn't bad enough, after that happened I received another text, I opened it and it was blank. I opened it in the conversation style, similar to the Iphone, and it said "message corrupt". This has been the case with all my texts that I've recieved since then. I did a reset (not master reset) and it didn't help at all, in fact I think it made it worse as when I tried to change my wallpaper back to my usual it froze... tried again my phone reboot itself... tried again and I thought it worked, but when I got back to the hoem screen the wallpaper was the same as before. Also, before this thing happened with my texts I tried changing a name in my phonebook from "Rosie cuz" to "Rosie (cuz)" but when I do that the phone will either freeze, forcing me to take the battery out and put it back in, or the phone will just reboot itself. And even before THAT happened my phone would just occasionally reboot itself, or freeze forcing me to take the battery out. Also, this may be related, a while ago my phones camera stopped working, it would jsut be a balck screen, although the problem seems to have corrected itself now but there is a lag between the shutter sound and the actual taking of the picture, so you have to hold the phone still for a few seconds (about 5) after pushing the button. I msut say, for a phone that has an 8/10 on some review sites I'm quite disappointed
I'm really sorry to hear about your problems with your phone.
I suggest that you run a software reinstall via the Update Service program (micro USB cable required)
