Another Bluetooth connection problem

Hi everyone.

I am trying to pair my laptop to my phone (SE W610i). In fact, I paired them, however, I can connect via BT to my phone, but can never connect to laptop (get "BT connection problem" message). Though at the time I pair them I can connect to laptop and even use some services, any other times connection fails. PC Suite did not help.

Is there any way to connect from phone to PC via BT not pairing them again and again? Or how do I customize connection to control computer from my phone?

Is it the HID service (Human Interface Device) you are trying to connect your phone to the laptop with, in order to control your laptop with the phone?

Could you explain what a HID service is?

When pairing devices my phone asks for switching control over laptop on

As you described it, I think I use HID service.

If I got you right, the PC offers the following (windows is not English, so smth can be mistranslaetd):

OBEX SyncML Client

Drivers for keyboard, mouse etc.

File transition (OBEX)

Serial port (SPP)

Device synchronization
Remote Control

Remote network access

Yes, it looks like the Remote control service in this case.You shouldn't have to pair phone to PC over and over again once it's already done the first time, but of course the connection needs to be re-established every time you bring the phone in close proximity to the PC.The Serial port service is also very useful as it allows you to connect to PC suite/companion and My Phone Explorer via Bluetooth to your phone.The File transition service allows for file transfer of course, but I'm not sure if this represents File transfer (between phone and PC in both directions--if this is the case, once connected you should see a remote Bluetooth window containing the phone's files which you can drag/drop or copy/paste between PC and phone) or Object push service (transfer of data from PC to phone).

Ok, how do I re-establish connection then? Actually, it is needed for PC Suite as I found out. Switching BT both on laptop and my phone and placing them close enough for BT connection is enough to be able to send files using default software. I can access phone's folders from laptop and I can send files from phone to computer, but can not, again, access remote control without adding devices to one another... Or is it possible to customize Remote control service somehow?

When you do have the Remote control connection, can you at the same time use the other BT services beween phone and PC?

Yes. I tested sending files and it worked fine. But this can only be done from PC as my phone is busy with remote control.

Yeah, that makes sense and so it seems that the Remote control connection is configured this way.What you can try is disconnecting all the other BT services between phone and PC and just keep the Remote control, and then see if you need to re-pair the devices the next time they are in BT range.
