Android software upgrade??

The peria X10 mini pro has the firmware version Donut (v 1.6) while newer versions like Eclair (v 2.1) and Froyo (v 2.2) have already been released and the other manufacturers have already used them in the phones. Android systems is ready to release the next version of the OS: Gingerbread (v 3.0) while we still use the crappy 1.6 base version.

When will the software upgrade to atleast 2.1 or 2.2 be available for the X10 mini pro users?

if the update is available in india like you said, the update still needs to be approved byf your provider. suze already mentioned that in earlier posts to be honest, just like sony ericsson did on the official pages. so i recommend you to contact your provider for more info on the update. i hope this plain and simple answer satisfies your question. cheers!

I have said this a few times in the last week but I will say it again, I am a volunteer moderator on the forum - I don't actually work for Sony Ericsson, just sit at home with my little old netbook answering questions where I can.  I have no inside information, in fact I have exactly the same access to information as everyone else - the good old internet.  Sadly at the moment there are so many rumours flying around that half of it needs to be ignored and the majority of the rest treated with a great deal of scepticism.

The only official way that I know announcements are made is via the product blog or possibly if you contact your carrier direct.

Shrinivas, this post was given by SE India in Face book. I am not even sure whether it is an official face book group. None in INDIA yet has the normal SE update. Please wait little more. You will get the update this month itself and don't fall into rumours.

No you could simply revert back to 1.6 using SE PC Companion

You Might Not Have updated , check the Firmware version in settings?

Yes, I got the update in Kerala. My phone is not branded.
