When X10 will Adobe Flash payer support....?????
I cant use flash files in browser...
bad news, never
adobe flash is only for 2.2 and above, and since Xperia X10, mini, min pro, x8 will not pass 2.1 you won't get it unless
you can download skyfire and will allow you to watch "flash videos"
now if you need flash for interactive menus, websites, etc you have another option which is to install a 2.2 ROM
rooting, flashing or installing ROMs will violate your warranty so at the end its up to you if yo want to go ahead and flash it.
if you want 2.2 or any other ROM you can check this

Rooting your x10i & installing xrecovery
Xrecovery allows you to use custom ROMs such as Android 2.2 or 2.3
If your not on the latest SE versions it would be worth waiting until you are to root your phone
Most recent version rolled out from 21st December would be
Model x10i
Version 2.1.xxxx
Baseband 2.1.54
Kernel 2.6.29
Download FlashTool version 0.2.6 :
From here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746
Extract the contents of the zip file to your PC, create a folder called Flashtool and put it in there.
Open the folder and click the x10flashtool application (not the file) to start the program and a new window will appear called SonyEricsson x10 Flasher by Bin4ry & Androxyde, they developed this tool and deserve all the credit.
Thread updated 05-Febraury-11 to include Flashing to Generic versions for those that choose to do so.
Flashing phone to 2.1 Nordic Combined, Global Generic x10i and x10a
This is the newest 2.1 release from SE rolled out from 19th January
Version
2.1-update1
Baseband
2.1.54
Kernel
2.6.29
Build
2.1.A.0.435
To simply flash to the latest version above if you are tired of being stuck on the waiting list the below process is very easy, remember to save all your apps to your SD Card use a file manager to back them up and backup your contacts form the phonebook to your SD card, phonebook menu and backup / export contacts to SD card, you can import them back after flashing. You will need to download the file manager again from the market to get your apps back from your SD Card. Unless you have a rooted phone using Titanium Backup and Restore you will lose all data associated with the apps.
Process to follow
Download the Flash Tool mentioned above and follow that process
Next
Download your Generic SE rom from here, Nordic Combined, Global Generic, US Generic or Saudi Arabic
x10i http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=936733
x10a http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=683793 (make sure you download the .435 version)
I have not used the x10a one but would presume it is packed the same way as the x10i versions above.
Once downloaded to your PC extract the file (only 1 file) from the zip and save it to theFirmware folder in Flash Tool,
do not put it in any subfolders just direct into the Firmware folder, there must only be this one file in the Firmware folder.
Turn off your phone (don't forget to back up your apps, contacts etc first)
Start Flashtool by clicking the x10flashtool Application
When the new window appears, click Flash, the downloaded version will appear
make sure it says 2.1.A.435 under the version heading (the 0 is missing on the Global Generic one this does not affect the software) then click OK.
You will be prompted to connect your phone in flash mode.
Hold down the back key (do not release it) and insert the USB cable to your phone whilst holding the back key down, once the green light appears you can release the back key.
Let the process run (takes a minute or two be patient, but it does not take hours, only minutes)
When it has finished and you are told to disconnect the phone, simply unplug the USB and boot the phone.
Hold the on button until the phone vibrates to start up.
If it doesn't start first time leave it to stand a minute then start it.
Once started you will have the latest 2.1 version that started its roll out at the end of January 2011.
When you have gone through the setup process go to Settings>Applications and tick Unknown Sources then tap Development and tick USB debugging,
End of update
Phone Settings
On your phone make sure Unknown Sources and USB Debugging options are ticked
Settings>Applications and tick Unknown Sources
Settings>Applications>Development and tick USB Debugging
Now exit to the main home screen.
Rooting
Connect the phone to your PC via the USB Cable DO NOT mount the SD Card
Click Flash in the x10flashtool window and let the process run until it tells you it is done then disconnect the phone and let it boot (it should automatically boot up).
Now go to your main menu you should have a new icon called SuperUser, if you have it worked.
You now have a rooted phone that is, your phone.
Now install Busybox from the android market, open the app and click install and wait until it says done
Please note that if you update with SUES or PCC after this you will lose root access, it will convert to the SE locked state.
Installing xrecovery to use Custom roms
Connect the phone to your PC via the USB Cable DO NOT mount the SD Card
Click Ask Root Perms in the x10flashtool window.
On your phone the Superuser will be asking if you want to allow root permissions tap yes.
Click Advanced on the x10flashtool and click Install xrecovery (root needed).
Let the process run, once it's finished reboot your phone.
Using a file manager from the market or by connecting to your PC create a folder on your SD Card called 1roms (it's not a typo it is 1roms), this will always put it at or close to the top of your folder list in xrecovery

Installing custom roms with xrecovery
A few 2.2 custom roms but read the posts as they are in development so may not be 100% functional or require a cetain baseband

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945264

Also a 2.3 custom rom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=911364
Important Note
Installing a new rom will wipe your system clean so make sure you have backed up your contacts and your apps before you start.
Using a file manager from the market or by connecting the phone to your PC create a new folder on your SD Card and give it a name (I called mine 1roms so it's at the top of my folder list in xrecovery).
As you now have a rooted phone download and install Titanium backup from the market and back up all your downloaded apps (not system apps) using Titanium backup as it will store the app and the data related to that app to your SD Card.
1 Download the rom and any additional zip files from the site.
2. Connect phone to PC, Mount the USB connection, now copy the downloaded files to the folder on your phone.
3. Disconnect your phone from your PC and reboot it.
4. As soon as the Sony Ericsson logo appears press the back button on your phone a few times and wait.
5. Your phone will boot into xrecovery, uses the volume bottom to move up and down the list, Home button to select and option and the back button to go back.
6. Important step Scroll to Backup and Restore and backup your current version.
7. From the main menu scroll to Install Custom Zip and select, then Custom zip from SD Card select the folder you created, select the main rom zip file and select Yes.
8. Once the rom has installed reboot the phone and leave it alone for a couple of minutes then reboot and follow steps 4, 5 and 7 again
9. When at step 7 the second time select the other zip files to install additional files etc, once you have installed all additional zip files reboot the phone.
10. When you first reboot the phone leave it alone for a few minutes to settle down before you start using it.
Any new rom at first install will be laggy and slow and may reboot on its own but after a while it will settle down so be patient give it time.
After installing the custom rom
1. Restore your contacts to your phone.
2. Download Titanium Backup from the market again
3, Using Titanium Backup restore your apps, they will be at the bottom of the list greyed out just tap the app and select Restore then App & Data, do this for each app you want to restore, if you do not get a restore option then the app is not compatible with the new version.
Your phone is done.
After a day or so reboot you phone and perform step 6 from the guide above to backup your new rom
End of recent update
Note
Please remember one thing, you do this out of choice, I have put it here because people ask about rooting and 2.2 roms, its also information for those that don't know about it, no one forces you to do this, it is a guide for those that want to try.
Make sure you have backed up your apps to your SD card using a file manager and backed up your contacts using the phone book option to backup to SD card so you can restore them.
You can return to SE rom at any time simply by connecting to your PC and running SEUS to get back to your stock SE rom.
If you really want to use FLASH, you can root your phone by following Uliwooly's post. But be advised that doing so will void your warranty.. This is, IF and only IF you send your x10 to service center without restating back the original SE firmware.
Actually the warranty coverage is not the main issue since you can recover the previous state so easy... most relevant could be the fact that custom rom are still incomplete and a little unstable. I hope it will change soon since I would give to it more than a try.

I know nothing about rooting, but, although it might usually be easy to restore the phone to its factory settings, it might not be possible if something goes wrong with the phone. So, be careful...
If we can't recover the phone at previous state it mean it is died so even a tech service person would not discover the hacked condition... there is a mere probability that a separate power/hardware failure will show the hacked condition when repaired but let me put it at a mere 1% of probable occurrence since most repair center are way less prepared than XDA and will at least wipe phone memory to factory settings even before they can understand the device was hacked. Here in Brazil tech service simply repair under warranty ALL non-physical/external damage. They simply know nothing and don't waste their time investigating the root of the damage except the FAMOUS water damage signals or mentioned external misuse damage to screen buttons etc. Or just tell us something like this happened in the past with a hacked windows mobile smartphone... nothing or fake one.
we can't guarantee that they'll find out or not, but since the bootloader hasn't been cracked, for the most part most if not all issues could be solve with re-flashing the phone. but again is up to the Xperia owner to decide what's best for them
Yes, indeed. It is for individuals to decide what they are willing to risk.
That's the point. But if you'll just send your x10 for make over (changing covers, screen panel), don't forget to return it back from previous state or they will find hole to void warranty.
