2.3 upgrade problem

In the middle of upgrade process, as soon as I connect the usb cable to the phone while press-holding back-button, the computer hangs. I tried many times but same problem repeated. Please advise.

use Update Service instead

Hey I have the problem in updating to 2.3 update .

-My PC companion is up to date (just updated)

-My x10i is running 2.1 (last update b4 this 1)

and when i update my phone ... it stops in the 2.prepare saying Installation error ". Cannot install or run software update components" .. Help would be appreciated

Hi, you have been very helpfull I loaded my upgrade and backup file and all after lots on money on bytes spent. I now have a message that pops up everytime I receive and send a sms. The message reads as follows: "SORRY! The application messaging extension ( process com.sonyericsson.eventstream.telephonyplugin) has stopped unexpectedly please try again." everything else seems to be working fine but I am concerned about this message and I cant delete sms's either. Please help me find a solution to ths problem. I have a X10i and ugraded to android 2.3.3 and uploaded backup and restore and works fine I have all back but this is my problem. please help
