I have Sony xa2 , upgraded today to android pie. I was trying to use the new camera app, i see the mode as creative, slow motion , panorama.
The problem i have Is that when i activate a mode (panorama or slow motion as an example) i'm not more able to revert to auto mode. I can change to other mode as manual, but not more to auto. Only way i found to reset the camera settings and start from scratch. Please help me

Hi @test214, let me see if i can be of any help here.
As @uliwooly mentioned, the way to return to auto mode in the camera app is to tap the bottom left corner of the display. After returning to auto mode there will be a shortcut to the recently used mode (the icon circled on your attached screenshot). There is no way to remove this icon using the settings in the camera app.
I hope this answered your question. If you want to learn more about the changes made to the camera app after the update, please view this link.
open the camera > mode > manual > after that you will see a back arrow at the bottom right corner > if you tap it > it will take you back to auto mode
I tried your suggestion , but in this way the camera change to manual mode as you can see in the screenshot. Before choosing a mode , on top of mode Burton there was nothing (so i think It was in auto mode) , after choosing any One, no way to revert back to have nothing on top of mode Burton. The last mode you choose Is shown on top of mode Burton. How to revert so on top of mode Burton there 's nothing ?Manual mode shown on top of mode Burton. Before making a choose there was nothing shown on top of mode button

So the icon i see on top of mode button Is not the actualy selected mode but it's a shortcut to the last used mode. Right ?
Thank you @test214 for your quick reply!
That is correct. Once you have tapped the back arrow you will return to auto mode and the icon on top of the mode icon will be a shortcut to the previously chosen mode.
