SONY BRAVIA TV WIRELESS CONNECTION PROBLEM (TV/LAPTOP)

Hi

Have just bought SONY KDL40NX723 BRAVIA TV & I have a problem that is baffling me, and  I am hoping somebody can help

The TV can connect to my BT HOME HUB Router with its built in wireless adapter, no problem there at all so why cant my laptop which is connected wirelessly to same router connect to the TV so I can view my photos and listen to my music etc etc.

I have followed all the on screen instructions on the TV and on my laptop under list of available connections it lists the BRAVIA TV and will connect to it when I enter the Security key displayed on TV screen but there is no internet access, it states this on laptop, it just says connected. TV also asks for 8 number pin which is on back of my router, I enter this and I am asked to wait and after a couple of minutes it says registration failed.

I have tried everything and cant get it to work.
