Does anyone know if the earphones are fixed or can they be adjusted to suit individual's ears?

It could be mine are immovable due to sweat or other muck making them rigid.

If there's no adjustment, can they be replaced without difficulty?

welcome to the Sony User Community Forum..

Your NWZ-W252 earbuds can be changed, the ones fitted originally are size M but you should also have had a S & L set included in the packaging..

The plastic that the earbuds fix onto is not adjustable..
