Hi

It seems my Walkman has ended its life - not a complaint at all, it has served me well.

Is there any way I can somehow get my music off this and into mp3.

I have tried a few converters but without any success, they are just not recognising the file.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is possible as the OMA file format contains DRM protection that is put in place specifically to prevent the files from being played on other devices, and in some cases, on other units of the same model.

Are these files that came pre-loaded on the Walkman?

Thanks very much for coming back.
The device is exactly as it was. Problem started when windows 10 came out and sonic stage wouldn’t work.
I think I am just going to have to accept losing everything. A bit of a shame.

Thanks for your response. I have tried several times to download sonic stage for windows with no success.

I am just going to assume the device is finished and I have lost my old music.

My apologies for not replying earlier.
Anyhow I manage to download sonic stage and install.
Plugged in my Walkman and managed to play all my tracks ...................... The device is clearly not going to work as standalone any longer but I can happily play and more importantly I have not lost any of my old music.

Fantastic ....................... will have to buy an MP3 player and get them transferred.
