Sony DSX A510BD DAB RADIO phone contacts

When I call up my android phone contacts on the head unit to make a call, for example, John Smith, and then I select this contact, the phone number that is then displayed before the call is made is not the number saved in my phone for John Smith, but someone else in my contacts.

This is rather inconvenient for the first two times I called somebody direct from the head unit, I ended up calling someone completely different!

This must be a bug, because it is repeatable, for example John Smith when selected always dials the number saved for Molly Brown.

My head unit is running the latest firmware.

Thanks,

Mike.

Hi there,

Have you tried a factory reset?

Best wishes,

M

No I haven't, not sure I have seen how you can do a factory reset in the options?

Thanks.

Hi there,

To reset the unit - press DSPL and (back)/MODE for more than 2 seconds.  Please note that resetting the unit will erase the clock setting and some stored contents.

Alternatively have you tried to delete the current pairing and recommence the procedure?

Let me know how you get on?

Best wishes,

Sean Mc

I've unpaired, and repaired, still the same issue.

I've therefore reset the head unit to factory, repaired, and still the same issue.

However I have added a second phone, again android, and that phone has correct contact and phone number synchronisation.

Therefore a Huawei mediapad M5 does not have matching contact to stored number, and Motorola Moto G5 has.

It must be a compatability issue with the Huawei device?

Hi stag74,

I believe since the issue doesn't happen on all devices, this is down to the phone.

I couldn't find the Huawei Media Pad M5 in the list of compatible devices available here: https://bit.ly/2tm8PJw.

I'd recommend getting in touch with Huawei to double check if the phone is compatible.
