I understand that the Official windows Volume keys can "learn" other functions. I presume this isn't the case with the sony remote (RM-MCE20E)
Heres the thing tho - can i use the spare IR blaster port i have (one is used for sky) to transmit IR signals to both my TV and Audio amp?
There is IR input and output programs (Girder & HIP) that I cant seem to get working on my XL-301. There is a forum about this over at TGB that discussed using the Windows media remote v2 to do things like this. My question is - how does the XL301 parse and process the IR signals and is there anyway to produce the IR outputs from my second blaster.
Does anyone use these programs? Has anyone attempted this? Is the remote fundamentally programable?
This is the last thing that I need to do to the media centre and it'll finally bring everything together. Any halp would be greatly appreciated!

I'd like to know whether the volume controls on the Vaio VGX-XLxxx media centre remote can be directed to control my TV volume!
I'm still battling. Hopefully I'll have a break through soon...
