Why are Sony Control Freaks!!!!

I have a FZ11Z and love it, however the video drivers keep borking out, try and un Vaio Update and it says its not a valid version as I have upgraded to Vista Ultimate, I try and download from Nvidia but they won't let me and refer me back to Sony.

AAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People mention that if I reset the BIOS you can make it think its a Sony again, can anyone tell me which settings I need to change?
