Which bluetooth mouse works with VAIO builtin tranceiver

Just wasted my money on a Microsoft Wireless laser mouse 80000. My VAIO AR41S didn't see it. Yet it found a cellphone near by.

Shoud I buy only Sony bluetooth mouse? What specs make a bluetooth mouse compatible with the VAIO? Bluetooth version ? channels ?

Thanks in advance

Hi Niska

Have Charge the mouse for at least one hour before trying to connect via bluetooth..?

Have you tired using the included Microsoft Mini Bluetooth Transceiver..

Oh I guess you did switch the mouse on..

I'm running a VGP-BMS33 which I got from Japan via ebay.

Pretty nice bluetooth mouse, run mine on an AR31S, get at least a month's solid life out of some new duracell batteries, which (by all accounts) is pretty good for bluetooth (I remember early bt mice would drain batteries after around a week). No cute USB chargers or toys, just a solid, aggressively-energy-efficient mouse (it will shut down partially on no use, after being left off for a while, it will completely stand by and require a click or move to reactivate).

2 buttons plus clickwheel, with power toggle and bluetooth 'connect' on the bottom. Silver and black finish makes it fit nicely with the AR styling.

I heard that some MS bluetooth devices only like playing with MS bluetooth receiving hardware.

Yes, I did charge the rodent for more than an hour, turned it on (it glows for a while on the top but I can't see the LED light under ..)

I didn't try the USB tranceiver as I wanted a mouse which would work with the builtin bluetooth. I mat try just to see if it the mouse works. The VAIO did see the Sony cellular so no trouble there....

I too red post about MS bluetooth mouse being ... selective

I guess I lost 80€ ... 😞

I'm using a Logitech V270 with my AR31S.
Works absolutely fine. Batteries last very long. The mouse is small and handy, although it might have not all the additional functions that a mouse of today "should have"; just two keys and a scrolling wheel.
I like it.
