Vista drivers for AverMedia MS115? Anywhere?

Just received the new Sony Vaio AR61ZU and tried to do a Vista Ultimate clean install. Kind of a nightmare because Sony simply does not offer all required drivers as downloads.

Does anybody know where to download the AverMedia MS 115 DVB-T drivers for Vista Ultimate?

Hi BeSharp and welcome to Club Vaio.

You will find all the drivers on the Recovery Discs you made from the Recovery Partition on your hard drive (hopefully) before you tried the clean install.

If you did not make discs, you will need to download the Preinstalled Drivers Package for the AR41S from here: -

Right-click on the downloaded AR4_Drivers.zip and choose "Extract All". Extract the files to a folder where you can find them again. To install the AverMedia M115S driver just Run: -

\\AR4_Drivers\Drivers\TVcapture\InstallDriver.exe

One question: Does DVB-T work WITHOUT an external antenna? Is it supposed to work?

DVB-T usually requires an external antenna fitted to the UHF/VHF connector.

Excuse my ignorance but are you saying that the AR61ZU does not have this ariel connector?
