Motion eye camera - Please help urgently!

Hi all,

I have a sony laptop with a motion eye camera. It was working very well up to last week. For some reason every time I try to use it I get a message saying that the system cannot detect a camera.

I have downloaded the pre-installed drivers but it doesnt seem to do anything??

I desperately need to use my cam for conference calls to the uk.

I would be so greatful if anybody could help me!

You could try the following, if you haven't already -

Go to Control Panel, select 'System' and in there select the 'Hardware' tab.
Click on Device Manager.

Check the list to see if there are any yellow exclamation symbols by the camera.

Locate the camera, right click 'Uninstall'
Go back to Control Panel and click Add Hardware.
Follow on screen instructions and 'Automatically install' devices.

I think the camera works on an internal USB connection so if it doesnt work I guess it could be faulty - there's not much else would go wrong.
