TV tuner not working

Sony Vaio VGC-V3S.One year old TV tuner stopped working, Error says tuner not connected and in Vaio launcher error states no content.
Any Help

It doesn't sound too good.

Go to Start -> Right-click My Computer -> Properties -> Hardware -> Device Manager

Expand "Sound, Video and Games Controllers"

Is there an entry for 'Sony MPEG RealTime Encoder Board'. If so is it installed correctly with no yellow errors shown?

If it is not shown at all, this will point to a hardware failure.
