SVF15A1C5E - "Special" function keys don't work post Win7 downgrade

Having changed the above machine from pre-installed Win8 64 to Win7 64 . . . . .

I find that the Sony "Special" function keys :

   Fn + F1 Touchpad Disable ?
   Fn + F2 Mute
   Fn + F3 Decrease Volume
   Fn + F4 Increase Volume
Fn + F5 Decrease Screen Brightness
Fn + F6 Increase Screen Brightness
   Fn + F7 Monitor Switching

. . . . . . . no longer work.

Can anyone point me to the required software / driver to restore this functionality ?

Thanks in anticipation.

Hi, normally installing the Windows 7 Preinstalled Drivers & Utilities from your vaio models support page should fix your Function key problem.

Did you find a solution to this?

I ordered this machine with the original install of windows 7 pro and all the function keys worked properly.

I then installed a 250GB ssd and clean install of windows 7 pro, and now I have the same problem.

I have lost the functionality of the screen brightness, volume etc with the function keys.

Did you find any help, I contcted sony and they said to do a new install with the recovery media, so not much help there as windows is already installed.
