Sony Vaio VPECB3J0E - HDMI issue

Sony Vaio VPECB3J0E - HDMI issue  :

I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 onto my laptop and since then i have been unable to properly connect it to my Samsung TV using a HDMI cable.

I have downloaded all of the relevant drivers from the support page on this website and also installed all of the most recent available Windows Updates.

Even Vaio Care didnt pick up on any issues on the laptop.

When i go into the graphics properties of my laptop it is picking up my TV.

Then when i press FN and F7 (i think) to change the display type (extended, projector etc...) it gives me a message saying Mode Not Supported on my TV.

Before its put down to an issue with the TV, i have previously on numerous occassions used this TV as a monitor for my laptop so I am pretty certain that it is fine.

Please help someone :slight_frown: it's really annoying

When you reinstalled the Windows 7 Operating System did you reinstall the original Sony OEM version or did you clean install a retail version?  I presume you have reinstalled 64-bit?

Have you reinstalled the Sony Version of the Intel HD Graphics Driver?  If not, I would try that first - it is at the bottom of the list here -

P.S.  I presume you have a VPCEB3J0E - the Vaio model numbering system makes us all dyslexic!
