I have a VPCEB3AFM running Windows 7 Home Premium. I purchased Thanksgiving 2 years ago. All of a sudden yesterday the computer quit recognizing the CD / DVD player. Sony Vaio care diagnostic said that no optical drive was found.
Can you please check whether the optical disk drive is present in Device Manager, and if so is it reported as working correctly or is there an error code?
