Sony SR41 battery

Hi there,

I have just purchased a Sony Vaio SR 41M machine. Based on the Sony website it is mentioned that this nootbook can work 260 mins with the original akku. However, I have never get more than 2h 30 mins in Vaio optimized mode (in Vista).

Any idea how can I improve the mobility?

I'm afraid it is all done with mirrors!

Sony use the industry standard software MobileMark by Bapco which tests the Vaio when using different software.

In practical terms a duration of about half the published figure seems normal unless you disable some devices like the DVD/CD-ROM, WiFi etc. etc. You may be able to work out which from the www.bapco.com link above.
