S-Video connection to Sony Trinitron 100Hz TV

Hello to all,

Since a few days I tried to connect my new VAIO VGN-C2ZB to my Sony Trinitron 100 Hertz TV (model KV-32FX60B, bought in the year 2000).

I'm using an S-Video cable, linked between the S-video port of both TV set and VAIO.

I am able to see the PC's screen on my TV, BUT EVERY 5 SECONDS THE SCREEN VIBRATES ...

I've been trying all configuration settings on my VAIO (and on my TV), trying out other cables and adaptors, but always with the same result : my TV screen oscillates every 5 seconds when I watch my VAIO screen ...

Can anyone help ?

Thanks in advance ....

What frequency do you have the Svideo set to?

Have you tried switching it so just the TV is shown and not the notebooks screen as the resolution has to be reduced for a TV?

I tried 60Hz, as this is the maximum I can find in the settings on the VAIO ...
TV screen continues to oscillates when notebook screen is out ...
I have now also tried to connect with SCART plug (at the back of the TV-set, via an adaptor), but still the same result ...

Does the TV have a 15pin D sub (VGA) plug?

I've finally managed to solve my problem ...
The way to do it is via VGN-C2ZB's NVIDIA control panel (in the configuration), not through Vista itself ...

I forced the NVIDIA control to detect the TV upon start-up of the PC, and now everything works !

Great !

Tnx for your help ...
