Replacing my hard disk!

Hey,

My new laptop hard disk arrived today and I want to replace it with one of my current ones. I know its compatable but how do i get the back of my laptop off. Ive tried taking out all of the screws but it wouldnt come off. I have a sony VAIO FS515H. How can I access my hard drives?

Hi Josh8,

I have attached the manual for your model - have a look at Page 5

You only have one hard drive but it may be split into Drive C:\ and Drive D:\

Hi Josh,

to access your HDD remove the single screw in the HDD access door bottom right of your vaio. (see image below)

Then remove the 4 screws that hold the HDD caddy in place.

Finally gently slide the HDD out..
