Remove programs in Windows 8

Hello

I have a problem after updating my computer VPCf12S1E to Windows 8.

How do i remove the programs:

Vaio Smart Network

Vaio Transfer Support

Vaio Power Management

Vaio Gate

Vaio Premium Partner

Windows 8 tells me that the current OS version could not support the software.

best regards

Hi Per Baungaard and welcome.

It is the same as in Windows 7.  Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features, right-click on the program and choose 'Uninstall'.

You can find Control Panel from the Metro Interface by clicking the bottom left corner of the screen and the Start Menu should pop up.  Pick 'Search' and then select Control Panel from the Apps List. You may have to pick 'More Settings'  to find 'Programs and Features'.

This is not true, you get to Add Remove programs, then you try to uninstall these programs but unfortunately the install/uninstall program is configured not to run on windows 8 and it does not seem possible to remove them.

This is only a problem when you have a laptop which has been upgraded to windows 8 without first uninstalling these out of date/incompatible programs.

Sam,

Same problem here. (as also with the incompatibility of my Intel 5100 Wifi card inside ny Vaio. Only solution would be doiing a clean install. But for al us Update People that is not an option unless we buy a full retail version... To put it bluntly.. MS en Sony have put the joke on us and a lot and lot of people.

best regards
