remove keyboard

hi, i have a vgn-a297 xp and i want to install extra ram, but i am not sure how to remove the keyboard on my computer the directions show the top keys for removal, on the sony website it has the bottom keys, i have had a little poke with a screwdriver but i am still not sure how to release it any help would be great please. regards john

hi yes that was a big help the sony help seems to give two different ways to open but i have realized after i took the keyboard out that the extra ram went in the bottom of the laptop, thanks for your help regards john

ps i have a broken key on the laptop it is the little clip that holds the key in place any idea where i will be able to get one regards john :smileygrin:

Hi John.

If you contact Sony Support, they will normally send out up to five replacement keys free of charge.
