Where can I make a recovery / back of windows cd of my operating system and setup?

What model Vaio do you have.?

This is normally the procedure..

Click Start, All Programs, then Vaio Recovery Center..

Click Continue on the User Account Control window

Select Create Recovery Disc then press Start..

Thanks - after searching the internet i found this a few minutes ago. Have you ever run a full recovery? what was your expirience? My laptop seems to boot up evry other time with a completely different format - almost as if it running to boot memories and i am getting warning about scvhost apps not running / missing. Also windows stops 32 bit processes running

Yes I have on numerous occasions, never encountered any problems.

If you choose the recovery route make sure your Vaio is connected to AC power and that you back up important data before you start the process.

Like Thalamus I've never had a problem with countless recoveries.

The only potential problem might be the integrity of the media you use.
I always use Sony discs for recovery discs, but others like Verbatim etc
have been recommended too by other users
