Random little space in my laptop, don't know what it's for?

Hi!

I'm using a VAIO VGN-CR11S laptop and I've noticed a space in the right hand side of the laptop near the front. You can sort of click a piece of plastic in and then it pops out and you can slide out a rather long rectangle of plastic to create a cavity in the side of the laptop..

I was just wondering what this is actually for.. is it a remote control slot? If so where could I buy the remote from?

It's an Express card slot..

Your Vaio has an ExpressCard/34 (34 mm wide) slot, express cards can be used for a several things, for example wireless cards, soundcards, memory card readers, tv cards, etc.

Not that I'm aware of..
