Question about vista

so i brought the Fz11z (and not the AR series)

Anyway, arrived a few hours ago, now i noticed there is alot of "notifications" when opening programs...
its called user account control...
very annoying, just wondering if that always happens, is there a way to disable it? or should i just leave it?

Congratulations on choosing!

I would leave it as it lets you know if something is trying to access the internet without your consent.

You can disable it though - Look at method 4

another quick question:

when i start up i notice the screen goes blank for half a second, i think its the nvidia drivers kicking in, maybe changing the refresh rate or something, should i leave it or is there a way to fix it?

also did anybody else get like blank dvd's etc when they brought their FZ series?
im getting a free copy of bond on blu ray but thats it 😞

The blank screen is a Nvidia fault and they are working on a fix. You will notice it also happens when you press CTRL ALT + DEL.

You have to supply your own DVD's to make the recovery discs. - Something very worth doing.

Got the bond DVD with the PS3 although don't have an HD TV so it comes out black and white

In terms of the notifications, yes you can disable but to be honest they have become part of the Vista routine for me now. They have even saved me on 1 or 2 occasions too.

I know that but the whole thing comes out in black and white over scart. Something to do with the way the PS3 is set up (Scarts lack of bandwidth etc.)
