PCG-V505CP - How to install memory upgrade.....please help?

All I want to know is how to open the case! The manual and website guidance is useless and Sony haven't bothered to respond to my email after 24 hours. Why exactly do we pay a premium for the Sony brand?

The instructions say "slide the LCD lock lever" but where and what is the LCD lock lever. the diagrams are no help at all.

Please can someone help?

Have a look at this step-by-step guide with pictures on how to upgrade the memory of the PCG-V505ECP - there are six pages - hope it is the same as your model!!

EDIT: I have just read the instructions on Page 77 of your manual: -

I think the "LCD Lock Lever" is just the catch that holds your Vaio closed when not in use and the instructions are just asking you to open the lid. I don't think this has anything to do with any of the diagrams. I agree, it is VERY confusing!

I also have a new 160GB hard disk that I want to install in my PCG-V505CP. Can anyone point me to any guidance? Thanks in advance......
