networking vgn n38 with vista home premium please help

i have a new sony vaio n38 with vista home premium i am having trouble networking the laptop to the pc i would juss like the laptop to be able to see the files i have set for sharing on my pc and also use the remote desktop connectionm from my laptop to the pc




i have turned on network discovery and set sharing all sharing option relavantly could anyone send me in the right direction thankyou in advance
